Mr. Pickwick Takes Flight
The ride's name is derived from places and landmarks it visits and pass nearby A benign summer 200, suitable for those thinking of stepping-up in distance. Good controls throughout, route on quiet roads and lanes.
The route (as with most BlackSheep CC events) follows minor roads, lanes, B-roads and a few unavoidable A-road sections. And generally in that order of preference. The ride heads north-east from Tewkesbury through the Evesham Vale for a breakfast stop at Wellesbourne.. Then on easterly to Turweston Aerodrome for lunch, the ride then turns due west for the rest of the ride. The afternoon stop is at The Old Mill, Chipping Norton. The final leg is an east-west bee-line back to back to Tewkesbury. Istant validation available for this event, so no need for brevet return SAE, if you use GPS - route/track files supplied.
