Sussex MidSummer Corker

Description

116km cycling event starting from Cocking Village Hall, near Midhurst, Sussex. Controls at North Marden Layby (Must Retrace Route Uphill), Cocking, Blackdown (Must Approach From Climbing Of Quell Lane!) and Cocking Village Hall., plus 7 information controls.

Revival of the Sussex MidSummer Corker, last run in 2010.

Since this event will be held during COVID Roadmap Stage 3, and before Stage 4, some restrictions will apply. Further details will be forthcoming once they are know. However, current understanding will include Staggered start, Rule of Six at Cocking together with Hand, Face and Space.

Ride validation using a GPX track (delay since must be sent to organiser after the event) or normal BC receipts will be accepted. If COVID Restrictions dictate then a postal finish may be implemented.

Centred on the Cocking Village hall just South of Midhurst, West Sussex, the Mid Summer Corker consists of 2 56km loops and earning 2 AAA points

Stage 1 Cocking to Cocking via via North Marden, Compton and Chisledown with 939m of climbing
Stage 2 Cocking to Cocking via Woodsmansgreen, Glen Lea, Amesbury School, Blackdown (Quell Lane), Fernhurst and Bexleyhill with 1032m of climbing.
