308km cycling event starting from Fishponds, Bristol. Controls at Salisbury, Lilliput - Poole, Podimore [Free], Yatton and Easton, Bristol., plus 1 information control.

WAITING LIST HAS NOW BEEN EVOKED. AS TIER 3 COMES IN TO PLAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY I EXPECT PLACES WILL BECOME AVAILABLE CLOSER TO THE TIME.

Due to the current situation the start time is variable. You will be set off in groups, you will be asked to give an honest appraisal of your moving average speed in an attempt to marry you up in a group of similar pace. You will be asked to remain in your groups as much as possible to avaoid crowding at controls. Devizes, Amesbury and Poole will be outside take away controls. You are advised to carry extra provisions. ****** Interactive map available through web link. ****** Included in the entry is cake/flapjack etc at Devizes & Amesbury, breakfast bap & hot drinks in Poole. ****** Head out through Bath on easily navigated roads to Devizes, passing The Crammer where legend has it Wiltshire folk were caught by the Excisemen raking for 'the moon'. Continue down the Avon Valley through Salisbury and edging The New Forest, along the coast and around Poole Harbour, watching out for luxury Sunseekers this time! Pass through the chocolate box village of Milton Abbas and past the Abbey in the Dorset Hills and on. Into Somerset passing Glastonbury Tor and across The Levels to Axbridge. Then use The Strawberry Line railway path through the end of The Mendips passing orchards to stop at The Strawberry Line Cafe before returning to Bristol.
