160km cycling event starting from Alveston. Controls at Big Pit Mining Museum, Blaenavon and The Ship, Alveston., plus 3 information controls.

Starting at The Ship in Alveston, BS35 3LL

Leaving The Ship we head over the bridge and onto Usk, although not a control it's an excellent place to stop for a second breakfast. We then head to Llanfoist and then set off up the mighty Tumble. The control is at the Big Pit Mining Museum canteen. I'll be stamping cards up there with my pink plastic friend. From here we head through Beaufort and descend to Llangattock, cross the river into Crickhowell, head through Abergavenny and join the A466 for more climbing at Llancloudy before passing through Monmouth and Tintern again and back to The Ship for a pint!
