Back for 2024, a '5 Star Reviewed' 52k Severn Bridge Series BRONZE GRIMPEUR AAA-rated event.||Includes free finishers' rectangular route for all riders.
Starting from The Jubilee Hall, Alveston with Lots of Free Food and Drink available - Start and Finish

The ride sends you over the Old Severn Bridge, climbing up to Devauden along the quiet back lanes, before descending past the fishing lakes & ruins of Tintern Abbey Furnace.

Stopping at the Cycle-friendly Filling Station CafΘ for well-earned refreshments.

After refreshments pass Tintern Abbey & climb alongside the Wye Valley before a straight run to base.

Mostly quiet lanes and B-roads with easy navigation.

I really enjoyed the Fishing Expedition Audax at the weekend. It was a great route and gave me a chance to explore some roads I have never travelled before. Really well organised too and thank you for the food and drinks before and after the event including a tasty veggie chilli.
