Velos' Cambrian Stretch

Description

300km cycling event starting from Tenby. Controls at Newgale, Cardigan, Tregaron, Llandovery, Carmarthen and Tenby.

You can use E-Brevet proof of passage on this event.

A West Wales coastal and mountain leg stretcher, taking in some of the best coastal scenery before the emptiness of the Cambrian mountains. Dennis cafe cooked breakfast (+/- vegan) and food to go included to start.

With the Atlantic Ocean as continuous companion on your left shoulder, the route first loops through some of the nicest Pembrokeshire coastal scenery on its way North to Newport. Leaving the coast, the route then winds its way up the 2nd longest river valley entirely in Wales(Teifi), crosses the Cambrian mountains on the Tregaron mountain road, and then descends the longest river valley in Wales (Tywi)to Carmarthen. A big day out taking in all the best scenery on offer.
