Description

Off to the South Shropshire Hills for Bewdley Bike Week. This route provides a hilly challenge for cyclists wishing to test themselves. More importantly, it is a lovely route with great views.
This event first ran in 2022 under the guise of Part Time Skivers. It returns as an x-rated (no thrills) event for 2023. There are plenty of views and climbs to be had en-route, of the Clee Hills, Wenlock Edge, Caer Caradoc and the other Stretton Hills. For the most part, we try to keep off A roads. An advisory finish point is the cyclist friendly Bewdley Brewery where pop-up food is often available. The average speed range is 10 to 30kph, ideal for both fast and 'full value' riders. There is no formal hall start or finish. A local brewery pub recommended by local cyclists will also make an ideal meeting point at the end. The route is also a good litmus test for July's Kidderminster Killer Audax.
