Description

Tracing the path of England's first Saint and some notorious sinners, a simple route from St Albans to Bury St Edmunds and back.
Admin is simple, with a single control and no info quiz.
Start and end at Cottonmill Cycle Centre, St Albans is 15 mins train ride from central London, and easy access from the motorway network.
We ride out through the Hertfordshire commuter towns and quickly reach rural lanes to take us into Essex and West Suffolk. The half way point, just short of Bury, is at the popular Maglia Rosso cycling cafe.
A single control makes for easy passage, however we strongly recommend riders take on additional fuel stops, options are marked on the route sheet and GPS file at Standsted Mountfitchet (50km) and Saffron Walden (155km). Commercial cafΘ at start/end, complimentary tea and coffee will be provided for riders.
