A ride round london that takes you far from the Madding Crowd, taking in the sexy country shires of the South East and a ferry across the Thames Estuary. Controls at Chalfont St Peter. Controls at Cranleigh, Hildenborough, Gravesend, Leaden Roding and St Albans. Generally rolling terrain with a few medium sized climbs to keep you awake. Total elevation around 2600m. You may start from any control if validating by receipt or from any point on route if validating by GPS and the perm may be ridden clockwise or anti-clockwise as you prefer HOWEVER YOU MUST verify the control/refreshment points will be open when you expect to pass through (especially at the Gravesend-Tilbury ferry, otherwise your passage will come to a sudden watery stop!).
