Stage 1 (56k and 939m of climbing) Leaving Cocking you initially head towards Midhurst before turning West and make your way to near South Harding and the first climb of the day that continues up South Harting Hill. This is followed by a fast descent to the first CHECKPOINT, before you must retrace back up the descent you enjoyed before the checkpoint. No rest at the next junction, since instead of continuing downhill to South Harting you are soon climbing again towards Uppark before another nice long descent to an INFO control. Things get a little lumpy now while you use country lanes to pass through East Marden and Chilgrove, before joining the A286 towards Singleton. More climbing to follow with The Trundle up to and around Goodwood Racecourse. An INFO is soon reached before you descend into East Dean and return to Singleton. Following a climb out of Singleton you are soon back at the Cocking Village Hall for a feed.

Stage 2 (60k and 1032m of climbing) Once fed and watered, you again leave Cocking to Midhurst and a short section on the A272 before heading North through WOOLBEDING, REDFORD & LINCH and an INFO. From Linch you then make your way towards Haslemere before the climb of Glen Lea and another INFO before this climb. Returning South, with another INFO to ensure that you climbed Glen Lea, you pass through Haslemere, before taking in Haste Hill and Tennyson’s Lane. No resting after Tennyson’s Lane since you will soon be heading North taking in Quell Lane with its CHECKPOINT near the top. Continue up the hill before turning South towards Fernhurst and its INFO. The final INFO will be at the top of Bexley Hill, after which you will continue through Midhurst, before returning to the Cocking Village Hall.
