Description

400km cycling event starting from Poynton, S of Stockport. Controls at Connah's Quay, Penrhyn Bay, Holyhead, Llandudno Junction, Elton and Poynton.

Event now full and closed to further entries. Sorry, this is a very popular ride and I have reached my quota of riders. Why not try the Perm version which you can ride on any date (except 28-29 May obviously!).

The ride crosses the Cheshire Plains, the North Wales coastal strip, Menai Bridge and Anglesey. We use the Chester Greenway and various excellent cycle facilities to avoid the A55 Expressway.

Night time navigation is really easy, calling at 24 hour services at Abergele and Hapsford.

Poynton as handy for trains to Stockport and Wilmslow. The finish control will be open on Sunday from midnight to midday so you'll have the chance to rest before returning home.
