Description

209km cycling event starting from Aylesbury, Bucks, HP21 7QX. Controls at Tesco Esso Express, Caversham, Hartwell Nurseries, Stone (Aylesbury), High Street, Stony Stratford and Aylesbury., plus 5 information controls.

Start/Finish locations at Walton Hall/Trinity Cafe, Walton Street, for pre- & post-ride refreshment. Easy access from A41 and Marylebone. Pay & display parking. Travelodge reasonable rates 5 min from Start.

The ride is set up for a February ride. The route is mostly on gritted roads. Starting in Aylesbury it tracks out and back to Caversham on B Roads, then onto the smaller villages in North Bucks returning East of Aylesbury. Please note event entry may close early if rider limit is reached.

This is an event for experienced Randonneurs, capable of riding long distances in all conditions through the winter, carrying all necessary food, clothing, spares, first aid, etc., suitable for such conditions. Taking in gritted roads in Berks, Bucks and Oxon the event is winter friendly and ideal for RRtY riders. Proof of passage has to be obtained by the entrant at main controls which are at commercial outlets. Entry on the day only if spare cards are available; please may you check with the organiser beforehand. All proceeds go to Holy Trinity, Aylesbury.
