CCP Coastal Jaunt (Chris Davies Memorial)

Description

50km cycling event starting from Denmead, Community Centre. Controls at Titchfield Haven and Denmead Community Centre., plus 3 information controls.

A gentle loop down to the Meon Foreshore with a café stop at Hillhead, then along the coast to Lee-on-Solent and Gosport before heading back over Portsdown Hill to finish at Denmead.

Entry fee includes tea, coffee and biscuits at the start and food and drink at the finish.

CCP – Chris Davies
A member of Portsmouth CTC, CCP was an avid cyclist who lived to ride his bike.
Chris was a founder member of Audax UK & completed PBP 3 times, and actively encouraged other young Audax riders.
Over his lifetime CCP rode close to a million miles – all of them recorded in notebooks.
